Hardin Craig (1875-1968) was a Shakespearean and English Renaissance scholar and professor of English at several universities, including Stanford University, 1928-1942, and the University of North Carolina, 1942-1949. Chiefly notes, lectures, and speeches by Craig; and copies of published and unpublished works of Craig and of several colleagues and friends. Topics include Shakespeare, literature of the English Renaissance, higher education in the United States, and Craig's ideas on the potential for an intellectual renaissance in the United States.

Hardin Craig (1875-1968) was a Shakespearean and English Renaissance scholar and professor of English at several universities, including Stanford, 1928-1942, and the University of North Carolina, 1942-1949. He published numerous books on these subjects and also on Lord Byron and Edgar Allen Poe. Craig was educated at Centre College, Danville, Ky., and Princeton University.
